Swindlers Secret Decongestant Oil 10ml

A highly concentrated decongestant and anti-microbial blend - this really is ‘The Big Guns’ when it comes to treating colds and respiratory infections, and can also aid in managing other respiratory conditions like asthma, by dilating the bronchial passages, reducing mucus and helping to ease inflammation.
 
There’s a bit of a grim story behind this one: ‘Swindler's Secret' is based on a 14th century recipe, when it was still believed that 'bad smells' were the cause of  infection, so they masked bad odours. It was discovered by trial and error that certain scents were more effective than others, even though they didn't know why. We now know that it's because certain substances have antimicrobial properties, hence 'scents' can prevent certain airborne infections.
 
This knowledge was used by grave robbers - also known as  body snatchers. As human dissection was largely illegal, scientists, had to find alternative means of securing remains for scientific use, hence the use of body snatchers. To protect themselves, they used an aromatic blend, originally known as ‘Thieves Oil’. Modern clinical trials of this formula have shown that it kills a huge number of bacteria, viruses and fungi, including otherwise resilient 'superbugs' like MRSA and C.Diff.
 
We've taken the original formula and made some slight amendments, maintaining the bug bashing properties, but adding natural bronchodialators and decongestant to expand its potential uses, making it ideal for colds, 'flu, sinus and respiratory infections and similar problems, as well as to aid controlling the symptoms of asthma and even CF (in conjunction with conventional therapies). It can also be used as a topical antiseptic.
