Loose Rosehip Shells 50g
Rosehips have long been used as both a culinary and medicinal plant. It is very rich in vitamin C, as well as many other vitamins and antioxidants, and was given in the form of syrup to children during the second world war in the UK as a tonic and to ensure they got enough vitamins during rationing. It is still used in dessert syrups, cordials, flavouring spirits, wines and liquors, as well as jams, jellies and desserts, vinegars and herbal teas.
Its medicinal use is connected to both its nutritional and antioxidant properties, and its anti-inflammatory properties. It has been used for many years as a popular folk remedy for arthritic pain, although more research is needed to test the efficacy of this.
Our rosehip shells are supplied as whole shells and are grown in Chile. They are supplied in a simple paper bag.
Available in 50g packs.
